Fiesta of Traditional - Dances Of Malaysia

KUDA KEPANG

Kuda Kepang is a traditional game in the community of Johor, especially of the Javanese descent. Kuda Kepang is made of woven bamboo, shaped like a horse without legs. One of the dancers will act as the head. In the beginning, all the movements of the dancers are according to the orders given by the head who uses the whip to control the game. This dance is usually performed for large gatherings such as weddings.
